DARK MODE is a 10-second matcha latte, cold or hot. Tear a single-serve pouch, add 5 oz of water, and either shake for ten seconds in our Activation Tumbler (cold) or use an electric whisk to activate in a mug (hot). Either way, you get a latte-grade matcha latte in the time it takes to check your inbox. Made in Queens. Ready when you are.

Matcha's oldest craft begins with darkness. In the weeks before harvest, tea leaves are traditionally shaded from the sun. Deprived of light, the leaf stops competing and starts concentrating — chlorophyll deepens, richness builds. That's the idea we built the brand on. RICHNESS GROWS IN THE DARK — for the leaf, and for the people who reach for it.

Yes. We launched under our first name in June 2026 and have since become DARK MODE. Same team, same 10-second oat latte, same six ingredients and the same latte-grade matcha from Japan. Orders, subscriptions and reviews from before the name change all carry over.

Six ingredients. Nothing else.

• Premium latte-grade matcha — shade-grown in Japan
• Oat milk powder — whole, clean, rehydrates instantly
• Allulose — a rare sugar, found in figs and raisins, that tastes like sugar
• MCT — cold-soluble, for a creamier body
• Sunflower lecithin — emulsifier, never soy
• Sea salt — a pinch, brightens the finish

No preservatives. No synthetic flavors. No functional theater.

Lightly sweet, so the matcha leads. We sweeten with allulose, a rare sugar found in figs and raisins that tastes like sugar. Each pouch has 0g added sugars and 2g total sugars. Allulose is counted under total carbohydrate on the label instead.

A curated blend of premium shade-grown matcha from Japan, where the craft goes back generations. We use latte-grade, the tier premium cafés pour, at 3.5g per serving. That's roughly 3x the dose of an average café matcha latte.

Cold (10 seconds): Tear pouch into your Activation Tumbler → Add 5 oz cold water → Shake 10 seconds → Pour and go.

Hot (10 seconds): Tear pouch into a mug → Add 5 oz hot water → Whisk 10 seconds with an electric matcha whisk → Sip.

Either way, ten seconds. No fridge run. No barista. No line.

One pouch takes 5 oz of water (about 150 ml, a little over half a cup). The Activation Tumbler has a fill line for exactly that, so pour to the line and shake. No tumbler handy? Fill a measuring cup just past the 1/2 cup mark.

Ice is preferred. Shake with 5 oz of cold water, then pour over ice for the full iced latte. On the go without ice? Shake it with cold water and sip it straight from the tumbler. It's still a great latte.

Both. Every MATCHA 001 pouch is engineered to activate either way — one product, two rituals. The Activation Tumbler (free on your first subscription delivery) handles cold. An electric whisk handles hot. Pick yours.

Each pouch has approximately 50mg of caffeine — about half of a small drip coffee. If you're pregnant, sensitive to caffeine, or managing a medical condition, check with your doctor first.
