What is THE SHADE?
Our creator community. You share DARK MODE with your people, earn commission on the orders your link brings in, join our creator calls and meet the rest of us at THE SHADE chapters in New York.
Who should apply?
Creators, builders and anyone who makes things before anyone’s watching. Big audience or small, if your people trust your taste, apply. We care more about how you make content than how many follow it.
What happens after I apply?
The team reviews every application. If you’re approved, you’ll get an email with a link to your creator agreement. Sign it and you’re active: your Activation Kit ships automatically and you’ll get your invite to set up your link in Shopify Collabs. If it’s not the right fit yet, we’ll let you know, and you’re welcome to apply again later.
What do I earn?
Commission on every order your link drives, for 90 days after someone clicks, including the first order of a subscription. Everyone starts at Tier 1 (10%), moves to Tier 2 (12%) at 10 sales and Tier 3 (15%) at 50 sales, plus first access to new drops and paid content work at Tier 3. Payouts go out automatically through Shopify Collabs.
Where do I track my progress?
In your Shopify Collabs dashboard: your link, clicks, sales, earnings and payouts, all in one place. Use the Affiliate login link on this page any time.
Do I have to post?
No. You’re not required to make content or deliver assets. THE SHADE is for active creators, though: if we haven’t seen any DARK MODE content from you within 30 days of your kit arriving, we’ll remove you from the program. When you post, tag @darkmodematcha so we see it. Ideas and specs are in the creator brief you get when you join.
